June Jordan School for Equity is part of the San Francisco Unified School District. Students interested in attending JJSE must go through the district’s lottery process and put JJSE (School #757) as one of their choices.
We accept students of all academic backgrounds and do not require tests, auditions, or recommendations letters. However, we do require that you actively choose JJSE in order to attend the school. Before you enroll, we will ask you to tell us why you want to attend a small, college prep high school with the mission of preparing a diverse group of urban youth to be …
– community members who show respect, integrity, courage, and humility
– agents of change in their school, their neighborhoods, and the world
– intellectuals with the skills necessary to succeed in college and life
We also will make sure you know that in addition to the SFUSD graduation requirements, all JJSE students must prepare a senior Portfolio and present it to a Graduation Committee.
If this sounds good to you, and you are excited to become a JJSE Jaguar, then please sign up!
