Goal One: Equity and Access – Making Social Justice a Reality
1. Developing student self-discipline and focus
Continue to improve classroom management and discipline practices using the RICH values (Respect, Integrity, Courage, and Humility) as a framework. Measure: Suspension/referral data
2. Developing student motivation and self-confidence
Continue with staff professional development and develop additional strategies to address truancy, low levels of homework completion, and other related issues. Measure:Attendance rate or # chronically truant
Goal Two: Achievement – Engage High Achieving and Joyful Learners
1. Increasing consistency and strength of classroom teaching at JJSE
Refine the JJSE pedagogy and video-based professional development. Measure: Grades
2. Increasing the strength of college preparation at JJSE
Refine and strengthen the JJSE college access program and standardized test prep training. Measure: % of seniors who complete A-G requirements
Goal Three: Accountability – Keeping Our Promises to Students and Families
1. Maintaining the integrity of the JJSE program
Work to maintain budgetary and staffing flexibility under the SFUSD Small Schools Policy to ensure we can implement our program design. Measure: SFUSD faithfully implements all portions of the Small Schools Policy
2. Maintaining staff, student, and parent satisfaction rates
Work to maintain and strengthen rituals of appreciation, clear roles and responsibilities, systems of communication, and sufficient resources. Measure: District and school-based surveys reflect continued high levels of staff, student, and parent satisfaction
